How did Ben Franklin figure out a way to harness electricity, thus making it possible for generations of kids to play all those annoying video games for hours on end? How? By playing around with it!

No, we won’t send your child out with kite and key to play in a lightning storm. We’ve got something almost as fun in mind: making take-home electronics projects, including lemon batteries, quiz boards, burglar alarms and more!

The Great Adventure Lab is an after-school science enrichment program offering our classes in 50+ schools in the D.C. area. We’ve taught thousands of kids how to write their first robotics programs or video game programs (or both!). We also teach science, engineering, electronics...and more! We do it all with SMALL class sizes with an adult to student ratio of 6:1. Our goal is to make science, technology, engineering, and mathematics irresistibly FUN for the next generation.

You can read all about our classes and birthday parties at  The site includes plenty of photos and links to videos from our classes!

We are an LLC based in Silver Spring, MD. We are fully insured and our instructors have passed background checks including FBI and state fingerprinting.
